ART SQUASH, organized by the Enfield Culture and Arts Commission, marks a pioneering art exhibition that showcases the creativity of 20 visual artists from Hartford County in the vibrant Historic Village of Thompsonville.

This inaugural event invites local artists to present their individual interpretations of the concept of ART SQUASH encouraging a diverse range of expressions through various visual art mediums. It challenges participants and viewers alike to reconsider their perceptions of art, as it not only features traditional artistic techniques but also engages the senses in unexpected ways. The exhibition prompts thought-provoking questions about the nature of “SQUASH”, inviting attendees to reflect on their personal connections with the term—what comes to mind when they hear or see “squash” and how it resonates with their own experiences.

Through this exploration, and open call to creativity, ART SQUASH aims to create a dialogue about the multifaceted relationship between art and everyday life.
